Betta (Siamese Fighting Fish)
Bettas are an extremely hardy fish and display a very attractive colouration making them one of the most popular freshwater fish. Due to their aggressive and territorial nature male Betta's must not be kept together as they will fight and nip each others fins. However, females can be housed together but they may still display slight aggression towards one another. Bettas can be kept in a small aquarium with no filter as they can breath air from the surface through their lungs.
