Tiger Barb

Tiger Barbs are a very lively and entertaining fish to have. Their coloration and resemblance of a tiger makes them a must have in an aquarium. They are friendly to fish their size and would easily adjust to a community tank.

Breeding
Sexing: Female is larger with rounder belly and males have a red nose and a red tip on the back of the dorsal fin (the tiger barb in the picture is a male).
These fish are prolific and can have offspring around 7 weeks from birth (or at around 2cm or 0.8 inches). They are easier to breed when kept in schools and will find their own pairs. Once there is a pair move them into a breeding tank to maximize the fry survival rate. Remove the pair after they spawn.
