Rummy Nose Tetra

This tetra is another quite popular fish of the hobby. Rummy Nose tetra's are distinguished by their red heads and black and white tails.

Care: Intermediate
Origin: South America
Min tank size: 10 gallons
Food: brine shrimp, daphnia, freeze dried blood worms, micro pellets and flakes.
Schooling: as with most tetra try to keep them with 6 or more of their kind
Temp: 23-26C (73-79F)
pH: 5-7
Max Size: 2 inches (4.5cm)
Lifespan: 5 years
Hardness: soft

Breeding  (how to set-up a breeding tank) 
Like slightly acidic water. Move parents to a breeding tank and then remove them after female gives birth to avoid them from eating their offspring. They are egg layers and the eggs won't hatch if they are prone to much and to strong lighting.
