Mexican Dwarf Crayfish

An interesting crayfish to have. They have a strong orange coloration making them stand out in the aquarium. These crayfish are popular because they are less destructive than most and will generally leave plants and gravel alone. They are also very peaceful with and usually don't even attack baby fish! However, they will eat eggs and dead fish.

Breeding
The male and female will breed belly-to-belly. Next the female will have around 50 eggs her abdomen which will take 2 weeks to hatch. The baby crayfish will eat brine shrimp, flakes and pellets. If you place leaves form deciduous trees in the tank then they babies can hide in them and also eat any bacteria or fungus.
