Panda Corydoras (cory)

Picture
Panda Cory's are a cute, adorable little fish that have a wonderful personality. They can usually be seen foraging the ground energetically for food and have a black and white appearance; hence their name.

Profile
Care: Easy
Origin: Asia
pH: 6-7.5
dH: 2-25
Temp: 19-28C (66-82F)
Size: 5cm (2 inches)
Tank: 113L (30 gallons)
Food: dried, frozen, live foods (brine-shrimp and live worms), flakes, pellets

Breeding (Moderately Difficult)
Sexing: Males are around 4.5cm (1.8 inches) and females 5cm (2 inches) and rounder. Feed the Cory's live food. Do a 50% water change and drop the water temperature by 2*C. The ideal temperature to breed them is 22*C. When spawning the female likes to lay eggs in aquatic plants especially Java Moss. She will lay around 25 eggs which take around 4 days to hatch. Once hatched they are very susceptible to bad water quality and pH fluctuation so water changes should be done regularly but to only 25% of water to reduce stress.
