Java Moss
This plant is one of the hardiest it can grow in low light aquariums making it suitable for aquarium with no artificial lighting. However, it does prefer conditions where the temperature is between 20 and 25 degrees Celsius (68-77*F).
Due to the density of the plant it is good for raising fry, tadpoles and shrimp so that they cannot be eaten by larger fish. It can also be a food source as micro organisms grow in it and its microscopic leaves are also edible.
